  The cost of the initial development of an ecommerce website can range from £2,000 - £10,000 or more.
  Shop Banana is designed to be easy-to-use and flexible and helps reduce this upfront cost by reducing the amount of time it takes a web-developer to develop your website.
  Additionally, Shop Banana can reduce or eliminate ongoing development costs - business owners can easily use the admin tool to maintain their site, and even undertake some design and layout changes themselves without having to pay a web-developer to do it for them.

  Shop Banana is built to be very efficient, and as such can run on relatively slow shared-hosting servers. This means hosting costs can be kept low.
  
  
• Avoid additional hosting charges
  For small and medium size websites, Shop Banana runs using the free Microsoft JET database engine.
  (For larger websites, Shop Banana runs on the enterprise-scale SQL Server database.)
  Whilst the JET database has limitations compared to other databases, it is free and incurs no additional hosting fees. Most hosting providers charge extra for SQL Server or MySQL databases.
  The limitations of the JET database in no way effect the functionality of the Shop Banana product - we have developed our own technologies to improve and extend the JET database, including advanced searching and indexing which also improve the products performance.
