Credit / debit card processing
Shop Banana supports all types of credit / debit card processing:
- Direct inline processing. This is where your website collects card information and handle payments directly, providing a professional and seamless experience for your customers.
3D Secure processing is fully supported.
- Redirect processing. This is where your website redirects customers to your payment providers secure website to take payment, and the secure website directs the customer back to your website when finished. This is a cheaper option as your website does not need to directly handle card information, and therefore is not subject to the same security requirements.
- Pay Pal 'pay now' and 'Donate' buttons. This is very easy to implement for simpler websites.
- Pay by cheque. Shop Banana fully supports this option and enables you to track orders that are waiting for a cheque in the post or waiting for a cheque to clear before posting them. Pay by cheque can be offered as an alternative option to paying via a debit/credit card, to capture customers who are unhappy entering their card details online.
Ecommerce websites have to use a payment provider (or payment gateway) to process online card payments. There are dozens of payment provider companies, and each one has its own custom method of integration to an ecommerce website.
At Shop Banana we have developed a generic payment provider technology that enables us to quickly configure the product to support new payment providers. Currently we support PayPal, Worldpay, Cardsave.net and Google checkout, and we will be adding more in the near future.
If you need to use a specific payment provider that we don't support, we will integrate the Shop Banana product to your payment provider for free, and we can do this quickly - usually within 2 weeks.
This is dependent on the payment provider being reasonably well known, and we do reserve the right to refuse a request.
